Where Is Your Money Actually Going?

It’s easy to notice the big expenses. Rent or a mortgage. Car payments. Groceries. Insurance.

It’s the smaller purchases that can quietly add up.

A coffee here, a few delivery orders there, subscriptions you barely use, convenience fees, spontaneous online purchases. None of them necessarily feels significant on its own, but together, they can take up more of your monthly budget than you realize.

The point isn’t to cut out every little thing you enjoy. It’s simply to know where your money is going.

Try looking at the last 30 days of your spending and sort it into three categories: need, want and convenience. You might be surprised by what falls into each one.

You may also find a few easy wins. Maybe there’s a subscription you forgot about, a service you rarely use or a recurring expense that no longer makes sense.

Small changes can create room for bigger priorities, whether that means building savings, paying down debt, planning a trip or putting money toward your next home.

Before cutting anything, take a look. You can’t change what you haven’t noticed.
