The magic of the season is back in one of Toronto’s most charming historic neighbourhoods. On Wednesday, November 13, 2025, the Distillery Winter Village reopens, bringing festive cheer to the Distillery Historic District in downtown Toronto.
This pedestrian-only neighbourhood known for its red-brick heritage buildings, cobblestone streets, and artsy vibe, transforms into a cozy holiday market filled with lights, music, and community spirit. Visitors can explore decorated laneways lined with artisan vendors, local boutiques, and independent cafés, while enjoying the scents of roasted nuts, pastries, and mulled wine.
The event features live performances, carolers, and photo-worthy displays, including the lighting of the iconic Christmas tree, marking the official start of the season. Many Torontonians make it a yearly tradition, making the Winter Village one of the city’s most photographed and celebrated holiday destinations.
Located just east of downtown and near neighbourhoods like Corktown, Canary District, and St. Lawrence Market, the Distillery District offers easy access, walkable streets, and a rich mix of culture, dining, and historic charm.
Running from mid-November through early January, the Distillery Winter Village is a perfect way to embrace the holiday spirit and enjoy one of Toronto’s most enchanting seasonal experiences.
