Maple-Butter Baked Salmon

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2-pound salmon fillet, skin on 2 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 4 Tbsp. maple syrup
  • Pinch of dried thyme
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of pepper
  • 8 oz. walnuts coarsely chopped

Instructions

 

1. Preheat oven to 420.

2. Place salmon on a tinfoil lined sheet pan.

3. In a bowl combine olive oil, butter, 2 Tbsp. maple syrup, thyme, salt and pepper. Generously brush mixture over salmon.

4. Combine remaining maple syrup and walnuts in a bowl until nuts are covered in syrup. Gently pile the nuts over top of the salmon to form a crust.

5. Bake for 20 minutes.

6. Remove from oven and allow the salmon to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
